Tantra honors the feminine and masculine within each of us, helping us to cultivate a polarized union in a balanced, energizing way. Tantra is a path leading to that inner union, ultimately experienced as union with the Divine.
Tantra’s methods are always natural, joyful and life-affirming. Tantra teaches expansion of the heart for the purpose of a deeper connection with another as well as the Divine. In this way, you train yourself to be aware of not only your own feelings but also those of your partner, and ultimately all others through your partner. Rather than expressing sexuality for your own pleasure only, you share your heart and sexuality for the sake of giving love to all beings. Tantra is sexuality in a spiritual context, quite simply put, a path to enlightenment. A Tantric practitioner works with sexual energy to open the heart, expand consciousness, and heal emotional wounds and energetic blockages. Tantric philosophy teaches that everything is to be experienced playfully, yet with awareness and a sense of sacredness in every gesture, every sensory perception, and every action. Tantra teaches us how to enter present moment awareness in our entire lives. We learn to authentically share our bodies and hearts as a sacrament of living love. Tantra is not about better sex, though that certainly will happen. Tantra is about creating deeper connection with our own heart, our lover’s heart, the heart of others and ultimately, the heart of the Divine. At it’s core, Tantra is about acceptance, acceptance and inclusion of ALL of our experiences.
